Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect for the first appointment?
Our first meeting is considered an “intake evaluation” or level of care assessment to ensure that I’m the right person to help you on your journey. Upon confirmation of your appointment, you will receive an email to fill out a questionnaire through my client portal. In our intake evaluation, I will ask more in-depth questions to get a real-time understanding of your experiences, goals, and background. Feel free to bring comfort items, questions, pen and paper, etc! Following the intake, I will follow up via email with my clinical recommendations and a personalized treatment plan.
Do you take insurance?
No; I am an “out of network” provider and can provide you a superbill for insurance reimbursement. You will have to contact your insurance provider for more information on your benefits as I cannot access these. Click here for more information on what to ask your insurance company.
Do you offer sliding scale or reduced rates?
Yes! I do offer limited sliding scale availability; these are based on several factors. Please contact me at 215-701-4906 for more info!
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact me 24 hours in advance of your session time if you know you need to cancel. Late cancellations or “no shows” will result in a $75 fee. I will provide several reminders via text and email leading up to your appointment to help avoid this being necessary.
Do you offer virtual or in person?
Both! I’m happy to meet virtually via a HIPAA-compliant platform to which you will receive the link to in your appointment reminder. I also offer in person therapy in Conshohocken, PA (with a parking lot), I get parking anxiety too.
What should I expect? I don’t know if I’m ready?
This totally depends on you and your goals! I do the best I can to meet you where you are at; by offering full 50-55 minute sessions and 25-30 minute check-ins if you are squeezing me in between work calls, class, need to warm up to the idea of therapy, or you’re making progress and just need a little boost. I’ve been in your shoes, and there is no pressure! I believe building trust and connection takes time and will go at your pace.
What do you mean by us being a “good fit”?
Part of my job as a therapist is to only work with clients I know I can actually help or have the expertise, education, or training to support their presenting concerns. Personality does play a factor as well! It is important that you feel comfortable with me; some clients highly value relatability, feeling that I am someone who “gets it.” These are just a few factors I take into consideration before starting the therapeutic journey together! I also have a wonderful and extensive network of colleagues who specialize in other areas and do great work so that if I’m not the “right fit” I can find you someone who may be!
When are you available?
My typical session availability is 10:00am - 7:00pm Monday-Thursday, my latest session is 6:00pm. I am live and in person Mondays and Tuesdays; and virtual/provide telehealth sessions Wednesdays and Thursdays.
